We believe that every human being is a uniquely creative individual. And each individual—through sustained, careful guidance in a supportive, creative environment—is capable of becoming an innovative thinker and doer.  We believe that creative courage is the indispensible foundation of all innovations.  At GSVA we welcome, embrace and nurture every person’s creative self-esteem, vision, thinking and skills. Above all, we are committed to helping people of all ages and backgrounds lead artful, creative, and fulfilling lives.

Our programs build creative self-esteem, problem-solving skills, self-discipline and cultural awareness. We serve students of all ages, from preschoolers to senior citizens, and reach out to students of all socio-economic backgrounds. GSVA's curricula combine studio art activities, art history and art theory instruction. We encourage teamwork and communication skills by teaching students how to design group exhibitions of their own work. The exhibitions, designed and installed in a professional gallery setting, celebrate all students' unique creative visions.
