GSVA is also the first community-based organization to create public school study groups for teachers wishing to practice arts integration in their classrooms. This work is an extension of Pistone’s “Learning Communities for Innovative Practice” initiative that was originally targeted to visual art teachers.
"Although I have taught for several years and have often tried to incorporate art into my instruction, I have never experienced the levels of success that have resulted from the partnership with the Granville Studio of Visual Arts."
"I want to start by saying Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for all of the extra assistance you have given to me in the support of arts integration, as well as all of the hours that you have put into helping in the classrooms teaching my content-area colleagues to become more comfortable with the integration of visual literacy across the curriculum. What a difference you and your organization have made already in the school!"
-Michelle Dague, 7th and 8th Grade Art Teacher, Granville Middle School
