Whether you’re a public school that may not have a full time art teacher or art program, or you’re a private school looking to improve your art program, GSVA’s School Journey Program is a valuable option for you to consider to have an innovative, quality fine arts program. We believe that arts education should be focused on the creative development of each individual child. We've developed our school program in consultation with Nancy Pistone at the Ohio Department of Education and Dr. Shari Tishman, Director of Project Zero at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
The Journey Program is a three part chronological series composed of GSVA Journey, The Art of the Self-Portrait, GSVA Journey, DreamWorlds and GSVA Journey360°. Each ten-week series is a theme-based approach to building knowledge about and through the arts in a studio environment, with an end event of the students curating their own artists' exhibition. JJourney was designed with the flexibility to be customized for after-school settings. The program meets national and state content standards for the visual arts. In addition, it integrates strands from various other disciplines.
