From PreK through teens we offer after-school and weekend classes, in ten-week segments. Each segment is a theme-based approach to building knowledge about, and through, the arts in a studio environment with an end event of the students curating their own artists' exhibition. The Journey Program incorporates art history and art production in numerous mediums while meeting national and common core state standards in visual arts and promoting college and career readiness in a three-part chronological series composed of The Art of the Self-Portrait, DreamWorlds and The Ripple Effect.
An innovative core component to all GSVA classes is the curatorial practice piece in which students develop critical thinking and aesthetic discernment skills. Each student artist collaborates with other artists in designing, installing, curating and hosting an exhibition of their own work.

Young Explorers
(ages 4-6)
Children ages 4 to 6 years will enjoy these classes and parents are invited to join them and learn together on family day. Each series revolves around an interesting theme. Past themes have included Cultures Around the World, Space Exploration, Under Water Worlds and Dinosaurs.

(grades 1-6)

Teen Journey
(grades 7-12)
Like all of our programs, the GSVA Teen Journey is designed to cultivate each of our student's unique artistic vision while nurturing their creative self-esteem. Teens thrive in our studio, where they experience meaningful learning in a fun, accepting and hip environment.
